Admissions Policy
The admissions policy of Tonysguboriau Primary School is in line with the Local Authority and the Welsh Assembly Policies. Dates for applications for admissions are also available from this contact.
At Tonysguboriau, full time places are provided for all children who have reached the age of 3 before the 31st of August prior to the first day of the academic year. If there are more applications than spaces, the local authority (LA) makes the decision to allocate places based on set criteria.
The school advises parents to place their children’s names on a list kept at school. The school then sends out the application form to parents in line with LA time scales.
Parents must apply for places for their children to start in Reception class and if they would like their child to transfer to the school from another mid- way through any academic year.
Applications for Secondary Education should be submitted by the end of October.
