Promoting positive behaviour
Celebrating Positive Behaviour Choices at Tonysguboriau
At Tonysguboriau, we use a positive reward system to encourage good behaviour, where children begin each day on 'Good to be Green.' If they maintain this status, they earn a star. Parents can track their child’s progress at home and have discussions about their daily experiences. This helps you support your child in making positive choices and provides an opportunity to talk about any challenges, such as being on 'Stop and Think,' and the reasons behind these moments. Your involvement plays a key role in reinforcing positive behaviour.
Additionally, we regularly celebrate children’s achievements, highlighting their positive behaviour in front of their peers. This creates a motivating environment that encourages all students to continue making thoughtful decisions. By celebrating these successes at home, you strengthen our partnership in supporting your child's growth and development.
Good to Be Green
J2 stars.
The children receive a star for each day that they are on 'Good to Be Green.' They can achieve a total of 5 each week. This enables them to celebrate at home with you each time they are on 'Good to Be Green.'
Raffle Tickets
Exceptional behaviour or exceptional work is rewarded with raffle tickets. The children then write their names on their tickets. Each week one raffle ticket per class is selected to have a treat of squash and biscuits with Mrs Harries. The children love this special time and often share their news from the week.
You can achieve House Points in the following ways.
