Algebra - Mathematical relationships
Algebra is the part of mathematics that helps represent problems or situations in the form of mathematical expressions. In algebra, we use numbers like 2, −7, 0.068 etc., which have a definite or fixed value. However we can also use variables like x, y, and z along with numbers.
Algebraic thinking is essential for reasoning, modelling and solving problems in mathematics and in a wide range of real-world contexts, including technology and finance. Making connections between arithmetic and algebra skills can be developed at Tonysguboriau from an early age such as creating simple equations using boxes, function machines or more complex equations using letters.
