Spring Term - Back in Time!

The children will step back in time to discover what it was like to learn in an Edwardian classroom - just like our own school would have been over 100 years ago! They will compare life back then with their experiences of school today.
We will explore fascinating objects from Edwardian times and find out how they were used. The children will also learn about Samuel Wilderspin, a pioneer of education whose ideas shaped schools in the 1800s and influenced teaching in the Edwardian era and beyond.
But that’s not all - we will also investigate what life was like at home and how everyday life has changed over time. The children will learn about how families lived, the jobs people had, and how things have changed compared to when our parents and grandparents were children.
Along the way, we will practise using words about time - past, present and future - to help us describe how school, home and family life have changed through the years.
