Spring Term - School Days
This term in Dosbarth Llewelyn, the children will step back in time to discover what it was like to be in an Edwardian classroom — just like our own school would have been over 100 years ago! They will then compare it with their experiences of school life today.
They will explore objects that would have been found in Edwardian schools and learn how they were used. The children will also find out about Samuel Wilderspin, an important figure in the history of education, whose ideas for young learners shaped schools in the 1800s and continued to influence teaching in the Edwardian era and beyond.
Along the way, the children will practise using words about time — past, present and future — to help them describe how things have changed.
