Our days include a balance of adult-led learning, play-based exploration and opportunities to learn both indoors and outdoors. Throughout the week, children take part in phonics, early reading, mathematics, topic work and wellbeing activities, while also accessing a wide range of learning experiences through Shine Time.

Shine Time takes place throughout the day and allows children to choose from carefully planned areas of provision, exploring their interests while developing new skills through play, investigation and creativity.

We also make regular use of our outdoor environment, where children can learn, explore, take risks, solve problems and develop their physical skills through meaningful first-hand experiences.

Our timetable provides a general overview of the week. As learning in Reception is often guided by the children's interests and needs, some activities may change or develop as the term progresses.
